Vidya Kendra's goal is to provide a cultural and religious foundation to our children through Knowledge of Indian Languages, Music, Classical and Folk dances, religious Classes and Youth Group Activities.
During the past few years, we have seen more student enrollment, a larger volunteer staff and Greater variety of activities and programs. We have more than 250 students admitted in our curriculum.
The credit for the success of the Vidya Kendra goes to dedicated and enthusiastic staff members Who bring energy, ideas, devotion and warmth to our school week after week. We are very appreciative of following volunteer teachers of Vidya Kendra:
We hold many activities for our students and their families to enjoy, during the year. During Diwali, we hold a Rangoli competition. Three winners each in Junior and Senior, win trophies And all participants are given Certificates. An annual event- a funfair is organized by our youth group for the students in our classes and their family members. The affair is done very inexpensively and all students enjoy the fun-fill day. A full course punjabi dinner marks the end of a lovely day. Around the spring time, our classes take a weekend trips to the temple at Vrajbhoomi in Pennsylvania. We have a day filled with food , games, trips to the temple, hiking, socializing and at night we present a colorful cultural program. The trip is supported by the Center. Towards the end of the year our classes hold an Annual Cultural Program. This three hour program is filled with hard work compiled from throughout the year . The teenage boys and girls of our community join to from a youth group.

To conclude, we would like to urge parents to get involved with the Vidya Kendra because two hours spent by your child in the Vidya kendra each week will nourish their cultural roots and preserve our heritage forever.
